Our why.

The art of creation and community is at the core of Strobia, a 501c3 established to keep the legacy and magic of creating alive. Throughout history the creators, artists and innovators are the ones who are celebrated, studied and remembered, not the critics. Everyone is born with a spark. Children dance before they walk, they draw before they write. Often, over time, we deprioritize letting the light within us shine. Let’s create more. Let’s spark more love and light.

Join Our Mission. Share Your Story.

Art is how we interpret the world around us and what we inevitably leave behind. To put it simply, art is life encapsulated. How do you create and contribute to the Armenian story? What is your SPARK? Strobia is actively seeking creators and we want to hear your story.

Strobia Foundation Launch Event

Why we are doing this:

Strobia Foundation, a 501c3 was established to help Armenian artists and creatives globally reach their full potential. Creativity plays an integral role in the human experience. Children dance before they walk, sing before they speak, and draw before they write. Everyone is born with a spark. Often, over time, we deprioritize letting the light within us shine. Let’s create more. Let’s spark more love and light.

Whatever you create, Strobia Foundation is here to empower artists globally to help reach their full potential.

Nona Melkonian

Nona Melkonian is a local entertainment and lifestyle On-Camera Host/ Reporter. Originally from San Francisco, she moved to Los Angeles with her young children to pursue her dream of covering Hollywood events and telling the stories of fascinating people in the entertainment industry.

Little did she know that she would grow to have a fascinating story of her own. Amidst a global pandemic and a war back in her home country, Nona threw her heart into purpose when her personal life took a turn. Soon after her divorce and the birth of her third child, she began using her online platform and journalism background to raise awareness about the war in Artsakh and raise funds for worthy and dire causes.

As an independent journalist, she was able to bring a voice to the voiceless and helped heal herself in the process. Today, she remains active in the Armenian community and hosts various local events and fundraisers, in addition to Hollywood red carpets, and venturing out with her three kids.
